What is Asthma?
Asthma is a common lung condition that causes occasional breathing difficulties.
It affects people of all ages and often starts in childhood, although it can also develop for the first time in adults.
There’s currently no cure, but there are simple treatments that can help keep the symptoms under control so it doesn’t have a big impact on your life.
Symptoms
The main symptoms of asthma are:
● Wheezing (a whistling sound when breathing) ● Breathlessness ● A tight chest, which may feel like a band is tightening around it ● Coughing
The symptoms can sometimes get temporarily worse. This is known as an asthma attack.
Several conditions can cause similar symptoms, so it’s important to get a proper diagnosis and correct treatment.
Your GP will usually be able to diagnose asthma by asking about symptoms and carrying out some simple tests.
Treatments
The main types are:
● Reliever inhalers – used when needed to quickly relieve asthma symptoms (salbutamol) ● Preventer inhalers (steroid) – used every day to prevent asthma symptoms occurring ● Some people also need to take tablets.
Causes and triggers
Asthma is caused by swelling (inflammation) of the breathing tubes that carry air in and out of the lungs. This makes the tubes highly sensitive, so they temporarily narrow.
It may occur randomly or after exposure to a trigger. Common asthma triggers include:
● Allergies – to house dust mites, animal fur or pollen, for example ● Smoke, pollution and cold air ● Exercise ● Infections like colds or flu ● Identifying and avoiding your asthma triggers can help you keep your symptoms under control
Side Effects
Like all medicines, this medicine can cause side effects, although not everybody gets them. The following side effects may happen with this medicine:
Allergic Reactions (may affect up to 1 in 10,000 people)
If you have an allergic reaction, stop taking Ventolin Evohaler and see a doctor straight away.
Talk to your doctor as soon as possible if you feel your heart is beating faster or stronger than usual (palpitations). This is usually harmless, and usually stops after you have used the medicine for a while. You may feel your heartbeat is uneven or it gives an extra beat, these may affect up to 1 in 10 people.
Tell your doctor if you have any of the following side effects which may also happen with this medicine:
Common (may affect up to 1 in 10 people)
● Feeling shaky ● Headache
Uncommon (may affect up to 1 in 100 people)
● Mouth and throat irritation ● Muscle cramps
Rare (may affect up to 1 in 1,000 people)
● A low level of potassium in your blood ● Increased blood flow to your extremities (peripheral dilatation). ● Very rare (may affect up to 1 in 10,000 people) ● Changes in sleep patterns and behaviour, such as restlessness and excitability
The prices of asthma medicines are very high and it’s important to consult a doctor before starting a new medicine. In Canada, the inhaler prices are very high, so it’s important to get a prescription from your doctor before using any new medication.

Hey everyone,
I'm in the middle of taking my new Ventolin inhaler. I've heard that the price might be a little higher but it's definitely not bad. Any advice on what's best for me?
I've heard that it's better to take your medication at night but could take it in the morning too.

You're welcome, I think we all know the reasons for this, but I would just like to talk about it. Are you aware of any side effects?
You're welcome! It's important that you understand your options before you make any changes to your medication. I would definitely recommend taking your medication at the same time every day. I've never heard of Ventolin being taken every day but I would suggest that you try taking your Ventolin at it's best. Theres plenty of things to consider before making any changes. I hope that helps!
Thanks again for all the info! I'll definitely talk to my doctor about this. I'm on Ventolin now and would really appreciate some input!

It belongs to a class of drugs called beta2-adrenergic receptor agonists. It works by relaxing the muscles in the airways, allowing them to open up, making it easier to breathe. Ventolin is available in several forms including inhaler, pressurised inhaler, nasal spray, and inhalation. It is most commonly prescribed as an inhaler, pressurised inhaler, nasal spray, or inhalation. The active ingredient salbutamol is an inhaled bronchodilator that can help relieve symptoms in a short time, making it a reliable treatment option for bronchospasm and asthma.
A ventolin machine is a machine that uses a propellant in order to control the effects of the machine on the lungs. It's used for the treatment of asthma, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD), and bronchitis. The ventolin machine is the most common use of the device. This device can also be used as an inhaler.
The device is a device that has a pump that is placed in the upper part of the chest to draw the air from the lungs. The pump is designed to act when you breathe in the machine, and it is not designed to be activated. You can use the pump while you are away from the machine to prevent exercise. The pump is a tube that is press-fit with a pump that releases the air pressure.
In order to use the pump and air flow when the machine is in effect, you must be away from the machine and in the middle of the day away from the machine.

The Ventolin machine works by releasing air in order to help relieve symptoms of the condition. It is used to provide oxygen to the lungs to help relieve symptoms of asthma and COPD (such as shortness of breath, wheezing, and coughing). It also helps to prevent exercise during exercise. It also helps to prevent asthma symptoms such as wheezing, breathlessness, and coughing.
The Ventolin machine is only used as an inhaler to prevent exercise. It does not control the symptoms of asthma and COPD.
The Ventolin machine is not a controlled device. It is designed to help you breathe more easily through your inhaler. It is used to reduce exercise in adults, children, and adolescents.
The advantages of using the Ventolin machine are as follows:
The inhaler is not a machine that makes you breathe more easily. It is an inhaler that releases the air pressure of your lungs.
The device has a small pump that is placed in the upper part of the chest to draw the air from the lungs. It is also used to relieve symptoms of the condition.

It is used to relieve symptoms of asthma and COPD (such as shortness of breath, wheezing, and coughing). The Ventolin machine controls the effects of the machine on the lungs by opening the mouth of the tube. This is used to open the mouth of the tube to prevent air from escaping. The device is used to help relieve symptoms of asthma and COPD.
No, you cannot use the Ventolin machine. You must be away from the machine and in the middle of the day away from the machine.
Ventolin HFA and Ventolin are two inhalers that help you control asthma and exercise-induced bronchospasm.
Ventolin HFA is an inhaler that is used to treat asthma. It works by helping to open up the airways and making it easier to breathe.
The active ingredient in Ventolin is albuterol sulfate, a form of salbutamol. This drug is used to treat and prevent asthma attacks. Ventolin is available in both generic and brand versions.
There are three ways to use Ventolin:
Ventolin is available in 2 inhaler versions, as well as a more convenient alternative to an inhaler.
